I rarely measure doses for bread now. I just put a little yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar, wait for 5 minutes and then add flour and a pinch of salt. Sometimes I feel like making soft bread, or ciabatta, so I add less flour. Other times I feel like thick country bread, and add more flour. I am never fussed, mostly I just follow my instinct with bread now, maybe because I have done it so many times, and in so many different ways.
Pane is always good! Do you bake your own bread?

That bread looks so good and crusty. I don't make my own often because it takes so much time to rise, but it is always fun and worth it.
ReplyDeleteYour bread looks very delicious. It's been a while since I've made bread but when I'm in the bread baking mood, I keep a tub of damp dough in my refrigerator and made loaves as needed. I like the sour flavor of the stored dough.
ReplyDeleteHey Alessandra! I baked my own bread once, it turned out great and I thought "I should make this more often, its cheaper than buying bread" but I havent since then! Lol .. i guess its the convenience thing.. and also how it was so thick and hard to cut without a proper bread knife.
ReplyDeleteI've made homemade bread a few times. I don't very much because I don't have the time. I would like to more though. Yours looks so good!
ReplyDeleteOooooooh, I can almost smell the freshly baked bread! Beautiful!
